Corey Kneedler is a Counselor in Residency licensed by the Virginia Board of Counseling who brings a grounded, compassionate, and insight-oriented presence to his clinical work. With a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Walden University and extensive experience serving individuals, families, and children across community mental health settings, Corey views psychotherapy as a meaningful pathway toward understanding ourselves and creating lasting change.

Corey believes that every person deserves a safe space to process life’s challenges, explore past and present relationships, and make sense of an ever-changing world. He supports clients in identifying what motivates them, uncovering the patterns that impact their well-being, and developing practical tools that fuel personal growth. By integrating self-awareness with everyday behavioral shifts, Corey helps clients move from feeling overwhelmed to experiencing clarity, confidence, and steady progress.
Although he specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Corey remains flexible and open to integrating additional therapeutic approaches based on each client’s needs. He is deeply committed to providing ethical, culturally responsive, and high-quality care that reflects best clinical practices and honors each person’s lived experience.

Corey’s professional background includes work as a Clinical Supervisor, Resident Mental Health Therapist, and Care Coordinator, where he has supported clients across a wide range of emotional, relational, and behavioral concerns. His experiences have strengthened his ability to hold space for difficult stories, guide clients through periods of transition, and foster resilience in individuals and families.
